Help Us
Donate, invest, sponsor,
promote, volunteer or visit us to support our sustainable
rural
development and
reforestation projects. Communities here in this area of
extreme poverty would be
very grateful for your assistance and we will ensure that it makes a
lasting difference. How can you help?
Donate money - More efficient
equipment
for producing alcohol from sugar cane (as in the photo on the left)
produces about 25% more, of better quality,
from the same quantity of sugar cane - so the family income increases.
We don't believe in handouts, so CADO has
a revolving Appropriate
Technology Loan Fund which one farmer borrows, buys
the new equipment and gradually repays the loan ready for
the next family to borrow. So far, 8 of the farmers have the
new technology. Over 120 others are waiting their turn.
Your donation could help them benefit
from the new technology sooner.
Donate equipment
- Please contact us if you have equipment to donate; we
currently need
a vehicle and are always grateful for donations of fuel, tree
seedlings, tools and computer equipment. We have a children's books wishlist at amazon.com
at if you would like to send materials for our book
club in Jilimbí - the shipping address is there
in the link.
Invest
in some of our larger projects to fight
poverty.
We
will soon publish details of how you can sponsor
a tree - watch this
space. To donate, sponsor or invest, please contact us at
help("at")progresoverde.org.
Volunteer - We
have a limited number of volunteer
opportunities in Ecuador and sometimes a few chances to volunteer
online. Visit - You are also
very welcome to visit our EcoTourism Projects,
either as
a tourist or a volunteer.
Spread
the word - tell
your friends about us, bookmark our website, and tell people about us
in
your blog or social network.
Explore
